Top 10: Proverbs
I’ve always liked reading other peoples thoughts, theories, ideas and opinions and so here begins the first of my new topic, ’top 10′. These are my own personal favourites; anecdotes, phrases, quotes, products, jokes or anything else in between. First on the agenda, proverbs.

Proverb: ”A short well known saying that expresses an obvious truth and often offers advice”
- Money makes the world go round.
- Youth is wasted on the young.
- Never judge a book by its cover
- Two heads are better than one.
- Time is a great healer.
- Procrastination is the thief of time.
- Better safe than sorry.
- It never rains but it pours.
- Laughter is the best medicine.
- There’s no place like home.
The proverb I detest the most is: ‘It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all’. Do you have any favourite proverbs?

Hi Loopy Loos,
I think you could group the two together… Although proverbs are more specific to expressing a truth based on common sense where as a saying could be any word or phrase that people say in particular situations.
Hope that helps!
